This was an instant classic game which the Cubs won to sweep the Orioles and win the 2008 League Championship. The Cubs won 2-0 in 12 innings on a PJ O'Toole suicide squeeze to score Paul Sonnett with one out. Ken Hamm scored later in the 12th on a wild pitch. John Gordon threw 11 scoreless innings, striking out 11 and pitching out of major jams in the 2nd, 7th, 10th and 11th innings. PJ O'Toole picked up his second save of the day with a 1-2-3 bottom of the 12th. For the 21 innings the Cubs played on this day, they allowed 0 runs and had just 1 error.
